You are happily invited to the afternoon symposium Advances in Mathematical Modelling of Hydraulic and Morphodynamic Problems on Wednesday 13 November, which is associated with Victor Chavarrias defending his PhD thesis on 14 November.

Mário Franca (IHE Delft) and Annunziato Siviglia (ETH Zurich), members of the defence committee, will give a presentation about suspended load and vegetation modelling, respectively. Robbin Bastiaansen, working with committee member Arjen Doelman at the Mathematical Institute of Leiden University, will talk about the modelling of self-organised patterns.

The afternoon symposium has been embedded in the River Morphology Day of the Delft Software Days. Free lunch will be available before the afternoon symposium (12:30-13:30). Please register to the River Morphology day if you plan to join lunch.
