NCR Summer School

In July 2023, the first NCR Summer School was organized by the University of Twente. This first Summer School was such a success that it was decided to make it a recurring event. The second Summer School will be held in 2025. It will consist of a series of lectures and tutorials in topics such as River Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics, Ecohydraulics, Sediment Transport and River Morphodynamics, both from a technical and a management perspective. Also, a field trip will again be part of the NCR Summer School.

All lectures and tutorials will be given in English and the Summer School will welcome participants from all over the world.

Target audience

The target audience of the NCR Summer School is young professionals, including PhD students and postdocs who are working on river-related research projects. An informal interactive poster session with the participants’ PhD or other current research projects will be held on the first day of the Summer School. In this session, the participants will have the opportunity to discuss their projects with the Summer School participants and some of the lecturers.
