Deltares is proud to host the NCR DAYS 2025 “Crossing boundaries” which will take place on May 8-9. The NCR DAYS provides a podium for young and established researchers and professionals to present their work on rivers.

The NCR DAYS 2025 will be held at Patio, Deltares Delft.
Route and parking
Parking on the Deltares campus is free of charge.
Public transport
Traveling to Deltares by public transport? Plan your trip with the Dutch railway and public transport planner.
After arriving at Station Delft, you can take bus 40 or 69 (about 20 minutes), a taxi (about €30 and 15 minutes) or an OV-bike (about 15 min). It is also possible to walk (about 25 minutes) from Station Delft Campus.

There will be six different sessions at the NCR DAYS 2025:
- Ecology, nature based solutions and river restoration
- Understanding and managing morphodynamics
- River monitoring and data-driven innovations
- Navigating estuarine challenges
- Advances in river hydrodynamics
- Governance and policy

Call for abstracts
We invite you to submit an abstract about your work. Abstracts with an academic and professional nature are welcome:
- Abstracts that focus on novel ideas, methods or data, describe original research or provide a review of existing results or techniques. New ideas may be tested or demonstrated on case studies.
- Abstracts that focus on discussing aspects, challenges and insights from practical application, that describe application of existing methods on challenging case studies and highlight knowledge gaps or directions for future research.
Please observe the following author instructions:
- The deadline for submission is Saturday March 15, 2025
- Abstracts must be submitted in Word format (*.docx) or PDF (*.pdf) format
- Abstracts must follow the prescribed template. Both Microsoft Word and LaTeX templates are available for download, see below
- Abstracts have a maximum of 2 pages
- Abstracts must be submitted to the following e-mail address: ncrdays2025@deltares.nl
- In the e-mail with your submission, please let us know your preferred session (see conference programme) and presentation format (poster/oral). Note that we cannot guarantee placement according to your preferences.
