NCR celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023 by organizing a Summer School for PhD students, postdocs and young professionals working with rivers. It consisted of a series of lectures and tutorials in topics such as River Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics, Ecohydraulics, Sediment Transport and River Morphodynamics, both from a technical and a management perspective. An excursion to the Pannerdensche Kop (bifurcation point of the Waal and Pannerdensch Canal) and Nijmegen were also part of the Summer School.

The 1st Summer School took place from 10-15 July 2023 at the green campus of the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands.
