Short course on river morphodynamics – IHE Delft

The 3-weeks on-campus course on River Morphodynamics at IHE Delft is open for applications.

Participants will be guided by lecturers and key experts to learn the mechanistic processes and modelling of the formation and development of river shapes and river bed composition. Predict rivers future shapes is necessary for planning structures and infrastructures as well as maintain or restore an adequate riverine ecological status. The course is designed for civil, hydraulic, and environmental engineers, physical geographers, environmental scientists, and ecologists interested on the impact of human activities and interventions on the evolution of riverine physical habitats. It is suitable for MSc and PhD students, as well as for professionals with practical experience in river-related fields.
